The main difference between auto engage and manual engage caravan movers is how the rollers are moved onto the tyres.

How does manual engagement work?

Before moving the caravan, you place the supplied wrench on the engagement point and turn it until the rollers sit firmly against the tyres.

How does automatic engagement work?

With auto engage, the rollers move towards or away from the tyres when you use the controls on the handset.

There is no engagement wrench to turn during normal use, so you can prepare the mover while standing. You must still follow the operating sequence, wait for the rollers to finish moving and visually check that both are fully engaged or disengaged.

Automatic engagement includes extra components in each drive unit. This adds convenience, but also increases the price and may add some weight.
